PADDLE THE MINNESOTA RIVER IN A DAY

Can a 318 mile river be paddled in a day? If we all work together it can! The Minnesota DNR has created this challenge to get as many paddlers as possible on the river on June 11. The Minnesota Valley History Learning Center is sponsoring two paddles that stretch from North Redwood to Franklin.  We want to make the DNR’s goal a reality!Join us for one or both of the paddle events below!

STRETCH #1

North Redwood to Morton

Put-in: North Redwood Boat Landing

Arrive: 8:30 am

Launch: 9:00 am

Length of trip: Approx. 3-4 hours

Bring your own canoe/kayak/lifejacket

Bring your own sack lunch

Pull out at Morton Canoe Access

Morton to Franklin

Put-in: Morton Canoe Access

Arrive: 3:00 pm

Launch: 3:30 pm

Length of trip: Approx 4-5 hours

Bring your own canoe/kayak/lifejacket

Bring your own sack supper

Pull out at Franklin Boat Landing

This is a family-friendly event! Everyone is welcome!
Transportation for one driver to return to launch point to pick up personal vehicle.
